Lisboa such a charming city

I have discovered this city for the first time, Lisboa or Lisbon is such a charming city. I was impressed by the beauty of the buildings, churches, the azulejos facades made of colorful tiles. Portugese food is also wonderful, especially seafood, and the pastry shops are one of the best attractions of the town. The famous Pasteis de Nata is a must there, you can't leave Lisboa without tasting this flan with crispy contour dessert which is simply delicious.
Here is the Baixa Chiado neighborhood where i stayed at, a very nice and animated part of Lisbon, with clothes boutiques, ceramics, shoe shops, the Fnac, pastry shops and even a Nespresso boutique.

Not to forget the "A Brasileira" famous café, art deco design, and the bronze statue of Pessoa, a famous poet & writer which has become a tourists' attraction.
Every tourist who visits Lisbon has to take a picture with Pessoa's statue, so did i. :-)

The Pasteis de Nata is a delicious flan-like dessert, the one in the middle of the above picture.

New H&M tunique dress with broidery

I found this H&M dress yesterday, it is very Isabel Marant-ish, love the broidery on the shoulders & neck area. It's made of t-shirt fabric, very comfy to wear and less high maintenance as my beige IM tunique.

Cool ZARA boots

ZARA has made great boots this season, i love their biker boots, find them so cool with studs or ethnic ornaments.

Love the matelassé on the back of this pair .

This one is so inspired by the Chloé boots.

Inspired by Nighthawks

The Edward Hopper's Nighthawks painting  is so famous that the Simpson, Lego and many others have done their parodic version of it, i find these versions super fun.

Edward Hopper's masterpieces

I just saw Edward Hopper's exhibition at the Grand Palais. Here are a few selections of his beautiful work.
He was a prominent American realist painter and printmaker. While he was most popularly known for his oil paintings, he was equally proficient as a watercolorist and printmaker in etching. Both in his urban and rural scenes, his spare and finely calculated renderings reflected his personal vision of modern American life.

Here is Nighthawks, one of his most famous paintings, my all time favorite.

The effective use of light and shadow to create mood is also central to Hopper’s methods. Bright sunlight (as an emblem of insight or revelation), and the shadows it casts, also play symbolically powerful roles in Hopper paintings such as Early Sunday Morning (1930), Summertime (1943), Seven A.M. (1948), and Sun in an Empty Room (1963). His use of light and shadow effects have been compared to the cinematography of film noir.
