Old american cars were everywhere, they look so cool and are full of colors. Once inside these oldies, you can smell the pollution and your body feels like a milkshake. :-)
Lobster tails are one of the cuban gourmet dishes, delicious. This is the restaurant where i ate the first day i arrived there, near the Plaza Viaja, a very touristic place with renovated buildings and museums.
This is the old cathedral, near the pub where Hemingway hung out.
And this is the pub, La Bodeguita del Medio, the best mojito in Cuba.
Wow M, I love your Cuba pics! Look like a time machine back to the 40s or 50s, love the scenery and the old cars. The food looks yummy too!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right *A*, it was as if we turned back time to the 40-50s, these old american cars are simply awesome, the buildings too. There were amazing restaurants, hidden in apartments, right between one apartment and another lived by cubans. There also was a place in a house, no signs at the entrance, you just knock at the door then the owner opens up and invite you in. The interior of the restaurants was really cool, a combination of vintage furnitures, no dishes was from the same set, no chairs was similar, which simply made the meal and the place unique.
ReplyDeleteFood was great too.
